As I said, the mosquitos were everywhere!! The grill at this property is in desperate need of replacement. This isn't an indictment of the property. I only bring this up to let people know to have plenty of bug spray handy when you arrive and stay. As soon as we stepped out of our vehicles, we were swarmed, and I mean by 50 or more at once. There is CLEARLY a mosquito problem on the Peninsula, and they are EVERYWHERE. Now for the things we wished had been different. This was one of very few properties that was this close to the beach and had access through the rear of the property. There is beach access by foot, golf cart, or Jeep.
The views from inside the house, and out on the balconies, are stunning. It will sleep 10, in beds, 13 if you have little ones that don't mind grabbing a couch! All of the indoor, and outdoor, furniture is very comfortable!! The beds are VERY comfortable!! Water pressure in the bathrooms is more than enough. Check-in and check-out was extremely easy and quick. It's about 5 miles from the grocery store, and about 7-8 miles from the check-in office. It was amazing! We couldn't believe how nice it was. We just returned from a weekend at this house. I always read the reviews, but rarely leave one. Let me start by saying I don't usually leave reviews on places I've stayed. All Swede’s Real Estate vacation rentals are NON-SMOKING properties. Being a just few steps from the beach makes this house the perfect spot for you and your small group! No large events, please. You will love the rustic charm of this home with panoramic views of the beach all through the house. There is 1 king, 2 queens and 2 queen futons in the loft upstairs that provide plenty of sleeping room. With its large yard and large sun deck area your family will have plenty of room to enjoy the sun and sand of the Gulf at this beach cottage!
